Why We’re Like This
Emo Class Reunion was born from a very simple realization: the songs that defined our teenage years still hit just as hard. We’re just older, slightly more responsible, and significantly better at tuning guitars.
Raised on burned CDs, late-night car rides, and lyrics that felt suspiciously autobiographical, we’re a collection of lifelong scene kids who never really stopped loving the music that shaped us. If you ever screamed along to a chorus like it was a personality trait, you already understand what’s happening here.
What we do is simple, but it’s not accidental. We bring the anthems, heartbreakers, and beautifully dramatic sing-alongs of the 2000–2015 era back to life. The songs you played on repeat, posted as cryptic away messages, and pretended weren’t about a very specific person. From the emotional damage of Brand New to the catharsis of Dashboard Confessional, we play the soundtrack to your formative years the way you actually remember it sounding.
How we do it is where things get fun. We’re not interested in stiff, paint-by-numbers cover sets. We aim for the feeling. The full-room sing-alongs, the “oh wow I forgot about this song” moments, the sudden time travel back to MySpace and side-swept bangs. Sometimes that means staying true to the original recordings. Sometimes that means unexpected transitions, mashups, or leaning into the collective nostalgia of a crowd that absolutely still knows every word.
Emo Class Reunion isn’t just a band.
It’s a reunion…
